Riding out this morning was a battle. Legs were tired and back a little stiff towards the end of the ride. May be due to the beating the body has taken at ERS this week (the glutes in particular have been a bit tight). As a result I cut my run short. I was exceeding my HR limit way to regularly on the ride (and in midday spin).
Interestingly the training data does not indicate that any of these issues affected me. Speed was up and Avg. HR down (particularly the bike which was quite sharp). Must get stuck back into swimming. When training suffers this is usually the first leg that takes a hit.
TRAINING:
AM: 2hour cycle (65.5km). Avg HR 152BPM. Avg Speed 32.6kph. Included 5 x 30sec 'single leg' drill each leg + 5 x 1min 'scrape' drill. PLUS 20min run off the bike (5.3km). Avg HR 150BPM. Avg Pace 3:49/km.
Core:
1) Pelvic Tilt. 30/20/10
2) Side Plank Raise. 3 x 30sec each side
MIDDAY: 40min spin. Avg HR 149BPM
