In preparation for the Lane Cove Striders 10k run next week, the Running Club group performed some reconnaissance training over the Scribbly Gums hill. 3-4 reps past the official turn around to the top metal gate and then back down. Jo S, nice and light, was fluttering up the hill with alot of speed, out-climbing alot of the blokes. Scott A has returned from a stint in Jamaica ready to claim land rights with his new tan, and have a solid training block for Canberra HIM.
HR monitor was going crazy, informing me that I was at 196BPM during the warm up (around 5:00/km). Avg HR was 154BPM at the end, but I will disregard this bogus bit of data (it hurts my pride too much if it's true anyway...).
Felt flat in spin, probably pushed too hard, buggered afterwards. I really must be more disciplined... starting NOW! Skipped arvo spin in order to recover.
