For the first time in quite a while I can say that I had some energy in the morning for training. Skipped out on the big ride in favour of a run with Diana around the Bay Run. Legs gradually fatigued and felt quite sore by the end (residual fatigue from yesterdays race). It is also the first run over 60mins I have done since training for Yeppoon HIM. I must try and get more of these in before Canberra HIM and 10,000m Track in February.

HR was a little too high for the given pace, probably due to body still being in recovery from racing, slight dehydration (which was confirmed when I downed 2L of water later on in double spin), and having to run around lots of people (stop/start/sprint to navigate around the various walkers/runners/cyclists). All in all a productive training morning. Diana ended up running 19.6km which is fantastic. Her endurance is building up very nicely.

TRAINING:

AM#1: 90min run (22km). Avg HR 160BPM. Avg Pace 4:06/km

AM#2: 90min spin. Avg HR 141BPM
